It's easy for me to find the information I'm looking for in a recent grad: where did you go to school, what was your degree, what projects did you work on, and what other employment/internships have you had. I could find all of that in the first 15 seconds, so your resume would be one I would read through more carefully to see if you are a good fit.What are you looking to do with your career? Do you want to work as a EE, or do you want to use your degree to do something else (sales, etc)?
When you want to apply for a job you know that having a good looking resume is going to be key to getting the proper job. The problem that many people can run into is that they may not know about what they should be including in this information. Then they may end up turning to a service to do the job for them. As part of our business, we come across too many resumes from candidates from all around the world. You always hear “add this” and “add that” for a good looking resume but there is plenty of stuff that should be left out or expressed in the right way.
Microsoft Word has for years been a great tool for creating a good looking resume quickly and easily. MS Word 2010 is no exception, continuing Microsoft’s efforts to not only keep the process of creating your resume easy, but at the same time giving you more options to personalize and customize it.I guess I'm worried my former co-worker will contact me every week asking me to find out the status, and why my company hasn't set up an interview with him. Here's the thing - I looked at his resume, and it seems obvious to me he hired someone to make a really good looking resume. He's even listed pretty much all the skills that are listed in the job posting. He will probably be very suspicious if he isn't contacted for a job interview, considering his resume is a great fit for the position AND he has an inside contact at the company.
